SHUBHDA is a non government organization working at Ajmer (Rajasthan) in the fields of children and women welfare of persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, health, education and Mentally Challenged & Multiple Disabilities. NGO Registered and Recognized by Govt. of Rajasthan. We work to develop skills in education, management, training and for gainful employment of disabled individuals in any environment.
To empower families and professional with knowledge for better service and legal provisions. To advocate, generate awareness and solicit sustained support through capacity building, networking, advocacy and campaigns aimed at all concerned. To contributed to the knowledge and develop evidence on the issue of disability through continuous research.
To reach out to the disabled population in rural and tribal areas.


Current Situation: The number of people with mental retardation is about 3 percent of our population. According to the 2021 available census in Rajasthan, the population of Ajmer city is 6,22,000. According to a report of the National Institute of Mental Handicapped (NIMH), the population of Ajmer city (5.42 lakh) has more than 18,660 thousand people with mental disabilities. Out of these there are only a few hundred people who have been linked to education or training. The number of such people is quite large, who have not been brought out of the house, let alone linking them with welfare programmes.
